Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Last year in July, my tooth cracked, and they were kind enough to see to me quickly and work around my schedule. For that reason alone I chose to give two stars instead of one. So...that cracked tooth needed a root canal, and I believe it was done by Dr. Julie Henry and it was the worst dental experience of my life, and I don't say that lightly. The actual root canal felt rushed. She refused to believe me when I told her i was still sensitive after the anesthesia and began DRILLING ANYWAY, and when i freaked out at the pain and nearly jumped from my seat, only then did she give me more anesthesia, and still it wasn't enough, to this day i can remember the painful jibes at my nerves as she cleaned out the roots. Which leads me to my biggest complaint. She had completely missed one canal. I get it, mistakes happen, maybe she was having an off day, but either way, that missed canal led to a tooth infection that has taken over my life still to this day. I know that sounds dramatic, but since October, i've been dealing with endodontists, multiple courses of antibiotics, and varying levels of pain over the last 6 MONTHS!! The whole ordeal was so bad, and i was so irritated that

Hands down the best dentist Iβve ever been to. The patience and care they show is unmatched they explain everything step by step so you always know whatβs happening and make sure youβre completely comfortable and happy throughout the process. Because of the incredible experience, my entire family now only sees them. I would recommend everyone to Dr. Cyril and Dr. Julie.
